Daniel Owusu Koranteng, a former associate of the late investigative journalist, Ahmed Suale at Tiger Eye PI, has been charged with murder in connection with Suale’s death.
Authorities accused Koranteng of unlawfully causing harm that led to the journalist’s killing.
Details of the case revealed that Koranteng was allegedly near Suale’s residence in Madina at the time of the shooting.
He reportedly left the area for his home in Amasaman around 11 p.m. on the same day.
Following the incident, Koranteng is said to have ignored police summons and fled to the United Kingdom in 2019.
After years on the run, Koranteng was apprehended upon his return to Ghana on March 15, 2025, through police surveillance efforts.
Investigations suggest that Suale had identified Koranteng as the individual who provided his photographs to Kennedy Agyapong, which were later broadcast on Net 2. Koranteng, however, denies any involvement in the allegations.
Following his arraignment at the Madina District Court on Wednesday, March 19, Koranteng was remanded into custody.
The court has adjourned the case to April 1 for further proceedings.
