Participants of the 2025 Heritage Caravan, organized by Citi FM and Channel One TV, have expressed their excitement and appreciation after completing an unforgettable eight-day journey across Ghana.
The group arrived at the Channel One TV premises at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, beaming with excitement.
Staff members of Channel One TV and Citi FM assisted them in unpacking their luggage after their thrilling adventure.
The Heritage Caravan has become a highly anticipated event for both Ghanaians and visitors, offering a unique opportunity to explore the country’s rich traditions, history, and vibrant communities. Participants embraced the experience as they traveled across multiple regions, discovering Ghana’s diverse heritage.
The journey began at Channel One TV in Tesano, Accra, on Sunday, March 2, with a grand ceremony featuring delicious food and lively brass band music from Just Groove Brass. The atmosphere was filled with energy as participants geared up for the adventure.
Anne Marie Asare, one of the first-time participants, expressed her joy and nostalgia as she fondly recalled the memorable experiences from the eight-day trip, highlighting the impact of the cultural exploration.
“The experience has been mind-blowing. I feel like I have been on a pilgrimage. This was absolutely exciting. I wanted to see part of Ghana, and I have seen it. I’m happy, I will definitely do it again when I get the opportunity. Those who couldn’t join, they missed,” Anne-Marie said.
Aunt Theresah also said, “I enjoyed every part of it.”
Joyze was full of joy, stating, “It was super amazing. I’m sure next year I will be here. The highlight was the Nkyimkyin band at Volta Serene. This is my second time. I will recommend it to my friends 100%.”
Daisy also said she has made the Caravan her Mecca, stating, “Heritage Caravan is a yearly thing for me, it’s my Mecca.”
“This was different; it’s about the people, and I love it, ” Samuel Cram said.
ASP Evans Appiah, National Formed Police Unit, who led the police team to handle security, said, “It has been an interesting journey for myself and the crew, my first time of seeing such places, thanks to the organisers. We ensured those on board were protected. The food and drinks, everything was on point.”
The 2025 Heritage Caravan has been lauded for its seamless organization and engaging activities, offering participants an immersive journey through Ghana’s history and culture.
The event, a flagship initiative by Channel One TV and Citi FM, promotes domestic tourism and encourages Ghanaians to discover the treasures within their own country. Each year, it attracts a diverse group of participants eager to uncover the hidden gems of Ghana.
