Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson for the Mahama Transition Team, has announced plans to reverse all appointments made after December 7, 2024.

This comes amid allegations of last-minute recruitments and the unexplained payment of GH₵240 million to a business partner of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

Kwakye Ofosu raised concerns about the timing of these actions, warning of their potential strain on the public purse, especially amid Ghana’s current economic challenges.

Speaking on Eyewitness News with Selorm Adonoo, he assured that the Mahama Transition Team would closely monitor and scrutinize all such appointments and financial decisions.

“We will be scrutinising all such appointments. So, all appointments that do not meet basic laid down regulations or are in violation of recruitment processes will be revered.

“So, it is not in the interest of both those who are being recruited and those who are doing the recruitment to carry on any further. Because they will only be leading the unfortunate recruits on the path to nowhere,” he stated.
