Evangelist and former traditional priestess Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has been found guilty by the Accra Circuit Court on charges of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence.

The conviction follows a controversial 2022 televised broadcast in which she claimed to possess spiritual powers to multiply money.

Her claims prompted numerous victims to hand over large sums in the hope of having their money doubled—a promise that never materialised.

The court is yet to announce her sentence, as proceedings await the outcome of a mandatory pregnancy test, in accordance with judicial sentencing protocols.
