Independent Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has reaffirmed his alignment with the Majority in Parliament, describing the group as supportive of his development agenda for his constituency.

Speaking on Upside Down on Channel One TV on Sunday, May 4, A Plus expressed satisfaction with his working relationship with the Majority side, even amid recent tensions involving the Attorney General.

“I am going to live my life for the people of Gomoa Central. I am going to work, and I am going to change a lot, and that is why I am happy with the Majority. They have supported us. I am going to make the President proud. We are going to improve the lives of the people,” he said.

His comments come days after Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga clarified that A Plus had not been removed from the Majority Caucus’ WhatsApp platform, despite a public rift between the MP and Attorney General, Dr. Dominic Ayine.

A Plus’ reaffirmation of loyalty is likely to ease concerns over his recent criticism of the Attorney General and fears of possible fallout.
