Excitement was palpable as the 2025 “Back to Your Village Food Festival,” organised by Citi FM and Channel One TV, brought together food enthusiasts from across the nation to celebrate Ghana’s rich culinary heritage.

The event, held at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), showcased a vibrant array of indigenous dishes and local ingredients, highlighting the importance of cultural pride and sustainable food practices.
Attendees expressed their enthusiasm for the festival, which has grown in scale and popularity over the years.

Patrons praised the unique opportunity to sample a diverse range of traditional meals, including Tuo Zaafi, banku, and fufu served with assorted soups.
“The festival is a wonderful experience,” Anthony Ampofo, an attendee, remarked. “It’s not just about the food—it’s about reconnecting with our roots and supporting local farmers and producers. I’m thrilled to be here.”

Ama Adobea excitedly lauded Citi FM and Channel One TV for the initiative and urged other organisations to take cues and organise similar activities across the country.
Lydwell Naa Densua Wellington said that Citi FM and Channel One TV had raised the bar so high.

A keen follower of the organisations and a first-timer at the festival, Ms Wellington resolved to attend the festival in future editions.
Kwame Dadzie shared similar sentiments, encouraging all Ghanaians to participate in the event.
