The Ghana Railway Company Limited (GRCL) has announced the temporary suspension of the Accra-Tema shuttle service due to technical challenges.
In a statement issued on Thursday, March 27, 2025, GRCL informed the public that train operations would be halted on Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28, 2025.
According to the company, the suspension is necessary to address the technical hitches affecting the service. However, full operations will resume on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
“We deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused our cherished passengers and customers,” the statement read.
The suspension is expected to impact commuters who rely on the shuttle for their daily travels between Accra and Tema. Regular passengers are advised to seek alternative transportation until the service resumes.
GRCL assured the public of its commitment to safety and efficiency, urging passengers to remain patient as efforts are made to resolve the issue.
