The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) is urging teachers affected by the revocation of appointment letters to comply with the Ghana Education Service (GES) directive.

The revocation, announced on Monday, February 17, applies to all Teaching and Non-Teaching staff who are yet to be placed on the government payroll.

In response, the GES has set up three-member committees nationwide to review these cases.

Reacting to the development, GNAT’s General Secretary, Thomas Musah advised affected teachers to submit their documents within the given deadline for review.

“All those who have been affected, they are to submit their appointment letter, academic certificate, they are ordered to submit their licensure certificate and then the final one, their national service certificate to the regional directorate where all these things will be validated and once you submit all these documents, you will be validated and subsequently reinstated and that will put the matter to rest.

“So all teachers who have been affected should take note. Once the deadline has been given, which is next week Friday, we expect all members to comply.”
