Felix Gyamfi, Director General of the National Service Authority (NSA), has announced that agriculture and agribusiness will be the primary focus of the Authority’s initiatives.

Speaking on The Point of View on Channel One TV on Monday, Gyamfi underscored the importance of encouraging graduates to explore opportunities in agriculture, emphasizing its potential for economic growth and job creation.

“We will do other things, but the center of our activity will be agric. Agric and agribusiness,” he stated.

He highlighted the vast opportunities available in the sector, envisioning a future where graduates actively participate in agribusiness and contribute to national development.

“Why shouldn’t a graduate from my background have a 2,500 poultry farm, selling it after four weeks to KFC and making so much money from it? Why shouldn’t we have farms all around Atebubu owned by graduates who did economics and feed a factory in Sunyani… This is what I am ready to encourage our youth to get into,” he explained.

Gyamfi’s vision includes providing support for graduates to establish and manage profitable agricultural enterprises, ultimately boosting the local economy and enhancing food security.

By prioritizing agriculture and agribusiness, the NSA aims to create sustainable employment opportunities and promote economic resilience.
