Bernard Ahiafor, Chairman of the Appointments Committee, has defended his leadership and decision-making amid growing criticisms.
Addressing concerns over his leadership style, Ahiafor emphasized that his decisions are based on information that may not always be accessible to the public.
Speaking on The Point of View on Channel One TV on Monday, he stated, As a leader, he often makes decisions from an informed standpoint, considering details that others may not be privy to.
“I always maintain that as the chairman of the committee, I know what probably they do not know, and all my decisions at the vetting committee are from an informed point of view,” Ahiafor stated.
He emphasised that not all actions and justifications can be made public, but the outcomes will ultimately speak for themselves.
“So on a daily basis, things do happen, and as a leader, it is not everything that you can put in the public domain to justify your action, but the end result will prove to them whether you are a man of integrity or you are not a man of integrity,” he explained.
Ahiafor expressed his focus on results and his belief that despite any vilification, he will emerge victorious by fulfilling his responsibilities within the given time frame.
“So being results-oriented, I know they can vilify me, but tomorrow I will emerge victorious after I have been able to do what I am supposed to do within the time frame,” he said.
