Mahama Ayariga named Majority Leader

Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, has been officially appointed as the new Leader of the Majority Caucus in Parliament, thus succeeding Cassiel Ato Forson, who now serves as the Minister of Finance.

In a press statement issued on Thursday, January 23, Mr Ayariga confirmed his appointment.

He expressed gratitude to the leadership of the National Democratic Congress and President John Dramani Mahama for considering him worthy of the position.

Mahama Ayariga further pledged to ensure the rigorous pursuit of resetting Ghana. He pledged to champion the agenda of fostering national unity, advancing democracy and ensuring equitable development.

The Bawku Central MP will serve as the Majority Leader and Leader of Government Business of the 9th Parliament.
