The death of a 26-year-old man has sparked chaos at Ejura, leading to the burning of the District Police Command and other vehicles, including private properties.
The deceased, Shaibu Masawudu, died at the Ejura Government Hospital after he complained of stomach ache amidst vomiting while on detention in police custody.
Masawudu was invited by the police on allegations of a phone theft, and he tended himself to the police and was detained.
He later died without the police informing family and rather decided to transport the body to Mampong to conduct an autopsy.
The family claims the police later dumped the body in the bush.
