President John Dramani Mahama has assured the public that his complete cabinet will be announced within the next 14 days.

This assurance comes in response to concerns raised by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, who criticized the President’s gradual approach to ministerial appointments, describing it as “piecemeal.”

Speaking at a special National Muslim prayer and thanksgiving service held at the National Mosque in Kanda, Accra, on January 10, President Mahama addressed members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), urging them to avoid actions that could tarnish the government’s image.

He emphasized the importance of unity and discipline within the party as his administration prepares to roll out its agenda for national development.

“Government is being formed, ministers will be put in place, other officials will be appointed. And as I said, we will have our full cabinet in 14 days.

“And so we will have ministers in charge if you have any issues you consult any of the ministers and have it resolved. So, exercise restraints. Many [people have said it is the same thing the NPP said when they came into 2017.”

“And that is why Ghanaians have voted them out. We must not copy the mistakes that they made. I plead with our supporters, let us do things in an orderly manner.
