Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has expressed his dissatisfaction with President John Mahama’s ministerial appointments.

Afenyo-Markin criticised the President’s decision to appoint only three ministers, describing it as “tot-tot-tot-tot” appointments.

President Mahama nominated Dr Cassiel Ato Forson as the Minister Designate for the Finance Ministry, John Jinapor as the Minister Designate for the Energy Ministry and Dominic Ayine as the Attorney General and Minister of Justice Designate.

Speaking in Parliament in Accra on Thursday, Afenyo-Markin stated “When the names were read out by Mr Speaker, he read out only three names. The Finance Minister-designate, the Energy Minister Designate, and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice Designate.”

Adding “Mr Speaker, this ‘tot-tot-tot-tot’ appointment is unacceptable. Mr Speaker, this is a government that promised a 24-hour economy in opposition. They told us they were ready for government.”
