President-elect John Dramani Mahama has announced the formation of a five-member team tasked with gathering and receiving information from the public regarding suspected acts of corruption.
Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), a key initiative in Mahama’s 120-day social contract agenda, aims to address corruption, recover looted state resources, and ensure accountability within the public sector.
A press statement issued on December 18 by the Office of the President-elect named Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, as the Chairman of the team.
The other members of the team are Daniel Domelevo (former Auditor-General), COP (Rtd.) Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, Martin Kpebu (private legal practitioner), and Raymond Archer (investigative journalist).
The ORAL Brigade first gained public attention on September 4, 2024, when individuals affiliated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) gathered at the Finance Ministry to protest alleged financial mismanagement under the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration.
