The Women’s Ministry of the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) West Hills has once again demonstrated their commitment to community service by hosting their annual ‘Care for the Elderly’ event.
Held on Sunday, December 15, 2024, the event brought together 130 elders from the Kasoa area for a day of love, gratitude, and celebration.
The event, which took place at the PIWC West Hills premises, was filled with activities aimed at honouring and appreciating the elderly and thanking God for His mercies throughout the year.
Speaking at the event, the leader of the Women’s Ministry, Deaconess Vida Acheampong emphasised the importance of caring for the elderly and recognising their contributions to society.
“Our elders have paved the way for us, and it is our duty to show them love and appreciation. This event is our way of giving back and ensuring they feel valued and cherished,” she stated.
The ‘Care for the Elderly’ event is an annual tradition for the PIWC West Hills Women’s Ministry, reflecting their dedication to community service and their commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of the elderly.
Dignitaries present included the Church of Pentecost Area Head for Kaso Apostle Kwabena Asare and his wife Mrs Irene Abena Asare who touted the goodness of God and urged all present to continually be grateful to God for all He does. Others were resident minister of PIWC West Hills and his wife Pastor Philip Pascal and Mrs Stella Asiedu, Deaconess Linda Mante, Deaconess Dorah Dapaah (Kasoa Area Women’s Leader) and Deaconess Theresa Angoh Rtd.
