The Ghana Police Service has declared three individuals wanted and is actively searching for additional suspects connected to a break-in at a private warehouse and a local radio station in Tepa, Ashanti Region.

On Monday, December 9, 2024, a group of individuals, believed to be supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), went on a rampage in Tepa, setting both private and public property on fire.

Reports indicate that the protesters burned structures at the Tepa Senior High School, which housed ballot materials from Saturday’s presidential and parliamentary elections.

Additionally, the group reportedly stormed a local radio station owned by the 2024 New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary candidate and ransacked a nearby warehouse.

The police have identified three primary suspects: Akakpo, an Assembly Member for Akwasiase; George, an Assembly Member for Maabang; and Mujeed.

According to police reports, the suspects are alleged to have stolen various items, including agricultural spraying machines, bags of fertilizer, and Wellington boots.

A police operation is currently underway to apprehend the suspects and ensure they are held accountable for their actions. Authorities are urging the public to provide any relevant information that could assist in their capture.

The Ghana Police Service has reiterated its commitment to upholding law and order and is calling on citizens to support efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
