The Deputy Director for Policy, Movement for Change (M4C), Courage Nobi, has called for the resignation of the commissioners of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana.
This follows the announcement of the presidential election results, which he claims was marred by poor conduct.
In an interview with Channel One News, Nobi emphasised the need for urgent reforms in the operations of the EC to restore the confidence of Ghanaians in the electoral process.
“The Electoral Commission I believe has not conducted itself properly. The EC needs improvement. I think the commissioners should by themselves step down after this election. Declaring the results they should add to the declaration that they are stepping out so that we reinvent that organisation for Ghanaians to be confident in.
“With the way they have conducted the elections…The wing from the Movement for Change has worries and concerns to complain about their actions,” he stated.
