The Electoral Commission (EC) has outlined nine constituencies whose results were not included in the final 2024 presidential results declared by the EC Chairperson, Jean Mensa.
During the declaration, the Mensa indicated that results from the nine constituencies were outstanding resulting from the besiege of EC offices and collation centres by political party supporters.
She explained that the various attacks on the offices have posed a challenge to the completion of the collation process.
The nine constituencies are listed below
1. Awutu Senya East
2. Nsawam Adoagyiri
3. Akwatia
4. Suhum
5. Ahafo-Ano North
6. Dome-Kwabenya
7. Ablekuma North
8. Damongo
9. Techiman South
According to the EC chairperson, the total registered voters in the nine constituencies sum up to 947,116 and would not affect the positions of the first two leading in case they all voted for the candidate who placed second.
“It is important to note that the commission will update the records on receipts of the presidential results from the nine outstanding constituencies,” Mensa added.
