The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has confirmed that it will declare the results of the 2024 general elections at 4:30 PM today, urging the public to follow the announcement via live broadcast.
In an address to the press in Accra on Monday December 9, Deputy EC Commissioner Samuel Tetteh emphasised that there was no need for supporters of political parties to gather at the National Collation Centre.
Tetteh stressed that such actions were not only unnecessary but also illegal, calling for calm as the final results are processed.
“There is no need for supporters of political parties to besiege the national collation centre. This is illegal and unwarranted. The national collation centre should be visited by only those with proper accreditation. All others can watch live the declaration of the results at 4:30 PM,” he said.
