The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged that the party will adopt a constructive approach as it transitions into the opposition following its defeat in the 2024 general elections.
Addressing the media shortly after conceding the presidential race, the outgoing Vice President assured Ghanaians that the NPP would hold the new government accountable while upholding the principles of democracy.
“We will not be a disruptive opposition. Even though we will subject the government’s actions and policies to strict scrutiny in the interest of our beloved nation.
“Our MPs, I am convinced, will do a thorough job to advance our democracy and ensure that the citizenry gets the best out of the democratic dispensation,” he stated.
