The Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for La Dadekotopon, Joseph Kwashie Addo, who is also the personal driver of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has been defeated by incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah.
Addo polled 8, 410 of the total votes cast whereas Sowah garnered 16, 976.
Addressing the media after the victory, Sowah said that La Dadekotopon will receive its fair share of development, including the construction of the La General Hospital under a John Mahama presidency and her term in office.
“My president John Mahama has promised, and I believe in him because it is one thing that is dear to the people of La Dadekotopon and Ghana as a whole because it was a general hospital that caters to the needs of everybody that went there. So, I am excited because the hospital will be reconstructed,” she stated.
