Gabby Otchere-Darko, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has congratulated NDC President candidate, John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following what appears to be an emphatic victory in the 2024 general elections.
This comes after the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia conceded defeat and congratulated Mahama considering provisional results that were putting Mahama in the lead.
Taking to X on Sunday, Otchere-Darko noted that Ghanaians had clearly made known whom they wanted, stressing that the country’s democracy lived.
He further underscored that Ghana should be the ultimate winner of the elections.
“Congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress for an emphatic victory. The people have spoken. Democracy lives. Let Ghana be the ultimate winner,” Otchere-Darko stated.
