The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that preliminary figures from the December 7 general election signify a resounding rejection of eight years of perceived corruption and mismanagement under the current administration.

According to the NDC, the results reflect the electorate’s demand for a shift in governance, emphasizing transparency and accountability.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Sunday, December 8, the NDC’s Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, expressed confidence in the party’s performance based on provisional results from their internal collation.

“From the results we have so far, it is very clear that Ghanaians have rejected eight years of corruption, state capture, wastage, nepotism, and cronyism. This is a strong message from the people that they are ready for change,” Gyamfi stated.

The NDC has called on its supporters to remain vigilant as the Electoral Commission continues to collate and announce official results.

“Eight years of economic mismanagement, eight years of insensitivity and arrogance of power, eight years of incompetence and ineptitude and it is very clear that the people of this country have voted overwhelmingly for change. They have given the NDC an emphatic resounding and landslide victory.”
