The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia to concede defeat and congratulate John Dramani Mahama following the 2024 general elections.
Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Director of the NDC addressing a presser in Accra on Sunday urged Bawumia to acknowledge the election results and help maintain peace in the nation.
“Alhaji Bawumia, for God’s sake, you are an Alhaji. You call yourself Dr. Digital, so I am sure that by now, through your many digital applications, you have collated your results.
“You know you have lost. Please call your senior brother, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, concede defeat, and congratulate him. Save this nation the unnecessary tension,” Gyamfi stated.
He noted that preliminary figures from the December 7 general election signify a resounding rejection of eight years of perceived corruption and mismanagement under the current administration.
According to him, the results reflect the electorate’s demand for a shift in governance, emphasizing transparency and accountability.
