President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on Ghanaians to actively participate in the 2024 general elections, stressing that “each vote counts” and emphasising the importance of ensuring a democratic and peaceful process.
After casting his ballot alongside his wife, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, at the Rock of Ages Polling Station in Kyebi, the President shared his satisfaction with the smooth proceedings on Election Day.
“Today, reports that are coming in from across the country suggest that this election is going very well and that it is being done peacefully. Ghanaians are showing their commitment to democratic outcomes, and we all have to be thankful to God for that,” the President stated.
He encouraged those who have not yet voted to head to the polls, urging them to make their voices heard.
“What I want to tell everybody is those of you who are yet to vote, please go out and vote. Each vote counts. Your voice matters, and we want to have a situation whereby at the end of the day, the majority of Ghanaians are satisfied with the outcomes,” President Akufo-Addo added.
