Phyllis Naa Koryoo Okunnor, the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Awutu Senya East, has cast her vote at the Steps to Christ Centre.

The Steps to Christ Centre witnessed some gun violence in the 2020 elections, nearly disrupting the election process.

However, the parliamentary candidate says she has learned her lesson from that 2020 election and is hopeful of a 68% victory.

“I am looking at a 67.9% for both JDM and Naa Koryoo,” she stated.

Adding, “There are a lot of things I want to bring on board. You know I am a very young person. I am very dynamic. So there are a lot of things I will be bringing on board to change Kasoa, to change the narrative, to rebrand Kasoa, to change the bad name that has been given over the years.”

The parliamentary candidate had earlier called for additional security in the areas that had been tagged as flashpoints in the constituency, adding that she is yet to see the additional security detail in the constituency.
