The National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kate Gyamfua, has urged Akwatia constituents to come out in their numbers to vote.

Her call follows reports of low turnout in most parts of the Eastern Region.

Speaking to the media at the Akyem Wenchi Presbyterian JHS polling station after casting her vote, Gyamfua expressed optimism about improved turnout in the coming hours.

She further indicated that “What I am looking forward to is for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Ernest Kumi to win, and they have already won, so we are coming to count and go home.

“So, I urge all Ghanaians to come out and vote because Ghana’s growth and development is what we are voting for. NDC has nothing new to offer Ghanaians.”
