Haruna Iddrisu, the Member of Parliament for Tamale South, has made a passionate appeal for change in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking on the importance of electing John Mahama in an interview after casting his votes on Staurday December 7, 2024, Iddrisu emphasised the need for a new direction to benefit the country’s democracy, economy, and governance.

“It is my prayer that John Mahama wins to change our course and to reset our country for the good of our democracy, for the health of our democracy, for the health of our economy, for the health of good governance,” Iddrisu stated.

He highlighted the urgency of change, describing it as both necessary and compelling.

Iddrisu expressed his trust in the will of the Ghanaian people to choose change.

“I trust that the sovereign will of the Ghanaian people, we will just respect that and be Ghanaians opting for change and voting change,” he said.

He criticised the current government’s performance, calling it abysmal and disappointing in every aspect of governance.

“The performance of government in every enterprise of governance is abysmal and poor and every disappointment, and we should see change and Ghanaians must witness to see an end to unexplained suffering,” Iddrisu stated.
