Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III has also added his voice to calls for residents in the New Juaben area to come out and vote following low voter turnout across the region with just less than two hours to end polls.
Nana Kwaku Boateng III, who noted low turnout at all polling centres visited, believes it is important for residents to come out to avoid a possible runoff.
He spoke to the media at the Lesco 1 and 2 polling stations, which he visited as part of his monitoring.
“I am a little worried because I don’t want us to vote for the second time. Because I know that the winning percentage is 50+1% and the majority should vote. I know a lot of people have registered and the turnout as of now is not encouraging,” he stated.
