The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it has invested in technology to be able to obtain its own results by 8 pm on election night.
The NPP has set up a special electoral operations centre to track and monitor all election results from the 276 constituencies.
Deputy General Secretary, NPP, Haruna Mohammed assures that the party will be able to tabulate its results by 8 pm.
“We have always added features, and we only take away some other features depending on the availability of the election materials and tools we are using. We have improved on our system. We have done a test run which has given us a shorter time as compared to the last election.
“We also tested our collation systems in the by-elections, and I can assure you that we have gotten enough improvement in our system. By 7 to 8 pm, we should be able to know who is having the majority,” he stated.
The National Democratic Congress has also assured readiness for the general election on Saturday.
During a visit to the party headquarters, some supporters were being aided to be transported to their various constituencies ahead of the voting.
This forms part of the party’s move to get more votes for the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
