John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on Ghanaians to seize the moment and vote for change in the upcoming December 7 elections.

In an address at the party’s final rally in Accra on Thursday, Mahama emphasised the critical nature of this election, urging citizens to replace fear with hope and cynicism with determination.

“The time is now. The time to replace fear with hope is now. The time to replace cynicism and disillusionment with courage and determination is now. The time to replace poverty and insecurity with solid development and safety for all is now. The time to restore the economic fortunes of Ghana is now. The time to reset our country Ghana is now,” Mahama declared.

He highlighted the significance of the upcoming election, describing it as a defining moment for the nation.

“Saturday’s election is not just another election. It is a defining moment for our nation. It is a choice between the Ghana we have today and the Ghana we want together. A Ghana of opportunity, prosperity, and justice for all,” he stated.

Mahama also underscored the importance of giving young people a voice and the opportunity to realize their dreams.

“Our young people deserve to live in a Ghana where their voices are heard and their dreams can become reality,” he added.
