The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has criticised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for allegedly resorting to religious and tribal politics.
Speaking at the NPP’s final rally on Thursday, December 5, Kodua Frimpong asserted that the NDC has realised it slim chances of victory in the 2024 general election thus resorting to religious discrimination.
According to the NPP General Secretary, good governance and national development have nothing to do with tribe and religion.
He cited China and Dubai as examples of countries that have developed despite not being Christian-based countries.
“Sensing their (NDC) impending defeat they have now resorted to tribal politics and religious discrimination. From the time of independence till now we have never voted based on politics. We are all Ghanaians, regardless of religion, what matters to us is your competence in governing the country. God has a love for everyone.
“If you go to China, the leaders are not Christians but have governed their country well. Even us Christians go to Dubai for holidays. I can assure you that with Dr Bawumia, we are going to have a dynamic president of the republic,” he stated.
