Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Senior Campaign Adviser to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has praised the extensive and well-organised nature of Bawumia’s campaign for this year’s general election.
Speaking on the Point of View on Channel One TV on Wednesday, Agyepong highlighted the dedication and meticulous planning that have characterised Bawumia’s efforts.
“That is why we have to give Bawumia so much credit because we ourselves know where we stood in February and he has been grinding the ground. Put boots on the ground, stepped all 276 constituencies, worked very hard, delivered, spread across stakeholder engagements, youth connects, community connects, going into the market, visiting people in their homes,” Agyepong stated.
He emphasised the comprehensive approach taken by Bawumia, noting that the campaign has been the most elaborate he has witnessed.
“This has been the most elaborate campaign I have seen. I mean it’s been well articulated, executed according to plan, day by day, extracting those that he has to come back to Accra for official business mind you he is still the Vice President. If you look at the fact that he was elected on November 4th some clear about seven, or eight months after his main opponent.
“Mahama had a leeway of about eight months and Bawumia could organise his campaign so meticulously, have a first round visiting all the 16 regional capitals and no presidential candidate has organised stakeholder meetings…The vitality that he showed, the enthusiasm,” he added.
