The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has expressed confidence in the party’s prospects in the upcoming December elections, asserting its readiness to secure more parliamentary seats in the region.

Speaking on Channel One TV’s The Point of View with Bernard Avle, Mr. Ashie Moore highlighted the NDC’s goal to retain its current 20 seats in the region.

He also expressed optimism about winning additional seats currently held by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which he believes will strengthen the NDC’s parliamentary representation.

According to him, the party’s campaign strategy and growing public support position it as the preferred choice for voters in the Greater Accra Region.

“We’re winning Greater Accra, we will maintain our 20 MPs, we have something we have targeted, Agenda 25, we’re winning five more seats. As we speak, we have 20 seats in Parliament. We’re adding five more seats. Two of the constituencies that were stolen by our brothers and sisters on the other side.

“We’re over-confident of regaining those seats, increasing the margins and also trying as much as possible to appreciate the votes of the flagbearer of the NDC, the incoming President [John Dramani Mahama].”
