The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Amenfi Central Constituency, Joana Gyan Cudjoe and her campaign entourage were attacked by some unknown thugs on Saturday, November 30 while returning from their campaign activity at Adjakaamanso.
Six of the team members were wounded but the parliamentary candidate escaped unwounded.
Reports indicate that the unknown assailants smashed the windows of the vehicle. The victims of the attack sustained injuries on their heads, hands and legs. These victims are currently being treated at a nearby health facility.
The Wassa Dominase Police Station has been notified and is conducting further investigations on the matter.
According to one of the victims, a vehicle suddenly crossed Cudjoe’s vehicle and launched an attack on its occupants smashing the windows of the vehicle in the process.
The reasons for the attack are still unknown
