The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama received a rousing welcome at the Prempeh I International Airport as he began his six-day tour of the Ashanti Region.
The former president will start his tour in the Ejura-Sekyeredumasi Constituency, one of the four constituencies held by the NDC out of the 47 in the region. His itinerary includes stops in Mampong and Nsuta-Kwamang-Beposo, where he will engage with community members.
Later in the day, Mahama will pay a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, before heading to Afigya Sekyere East to meet party supporters in Wiamoase.
He will then move to Afigya Kwabre North for another community engagement and conclude the day at Afigya Kwabre South with interaction with party members.
