Members of the clergy in the Ashanti Region have interceded for the Vice-Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party ‘s(NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as NAPO as Ghana prepares for the general election on December 7.
NAPO on Friday, November 29 held a meeting with over 200 clergymen from the 47 constituencies within the Ashanti Region on matters of the country’s development, peace and faith-based issues of interest to the Christian community.
He reaffirmed Dr Bawumia’s unrelenting dedication to collaborating with religious leaders to enhance the country’s progress.
The General Overseer of Glory & Hope Ministries International, Apostle Sampson Adjei Berko led the Christian leaders to pray for the NPP and its flagbearer Dr Bawumia seeking God’s favour and guidance in the election period.
They also prayed for peace to prevail in the country before, during and after the general elections.
