Prominent Ghanaian broadcaster Paul Adom-Otchere has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s initiative of free education, specifically the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme, characterising it as the most significant social intervention policy.

He made these remarks during the launch of his book titled ‘Africa’s New Constitutional Leadership: 77 Stories that Defined Ghana’s 4th Republic,’ on November 29.

“Impactful social interventions, they call it Free SHS, that certainly is the most impactful social intervention policy. So we conclude on the verdict that Nana Akufo-Addo is the most impactful politician in the 4th Republic,” he said.

Mr Adom-Otchere stated that the legacy of the President was unparalleled.

The Free SHS education policy in Ghana was a government initiative introduced in the 2017 September Presidential administration of Nana Akufo-Addo.

The policy’s origination began as part of the President’s presidential campaign during Ghana’s 2016 election period and has become an essential part of Ghana’s educational system.

The book launch was attended by the Managing Director of Channel One TV/Citi FM, Samuel Attah-Mensah, Minister of Energy, Hebert Krapah, CEO of EIB Network Group, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, popularly called Bola Ray, Hackman Owusu Agyemang, Board Chairman of COCOBOD, other Ministers of state and students from selected institutions.
