Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, has expressed confidence that the people of the Western Region are ready to bring back former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections.

According to him, this is because the region’s residents voice their dissatisfaction with the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

“The people of the Western Region are happy. They have had enough of the disappointment of the NPP, and they are determined to bring back President Mahama and the NDC,” Buah stated in an interview on Eyewitness News on Citi FM on Wednesday.

He highlighted the unfulfilled promises made by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration, which have left the region’s residents disillusioned.

Buah pointed out several key promises that were not delivered, including the construction of a regional hospital and improvements in petroleum service health.

“They had promised the Western Region a regional hospital; it never came. They had promised the Western Region petroleum service health; it never came. They had promised the Western Region that we are going to see massive improvement of our roads in the so-called year of roads; none of that happened. It has even gotten worse,” he emphasised.

The MP also criticised the current administration for failing to deliver on its biggest promise to the region.

“The Western Region’s biggest promise was the regional hospital. Where is the regional hospital? Let me tell you this: the only completed project in the Western Region is the statue of President Akufo-Addo. Isn’t it a shame?” Buah remarked.
