The Ghana Police Service has arrested 26 individuals for brandishing and indiscriminate firing of toy guns in a public place.
The suspects are currently assisting with investigations and will be brought before court to face justice.
In a statement on Monday, November 25, the police mentioned that a quantity of toy guns had been retrieved from the suspects as part of the investigation into this issue.
The police said nationwide police operations are ongoing to apprehend others involved in this growing trend, which has been emerging in certain parts of the country.
“We would like to once again assure the public that the Police will do all that it takes for our beloved country to continue to be at peace with herself.”
