The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for La Dadekotopon, Joseph Addo, has called on constituents to vote massively for him in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

Speaking at the annual harvest of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Nativity Congregation, in Accra on Sunday, Mr Addo highlighted his achievements and reiterated his commitment to driving infrastructure development within the constituency.

As part of his engagement with the church, he donated GHS 5,000 to support the annual harvest.

Meanwhile, the incumbent Member of Parliament for the constituency and Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, indicated that her party’s flagbearer, John Mahama, will sign the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill into law if elected president in the 2024 general elections.

Speaking at the same event, she criticised the current NPP government’s delay in passing the anti-LGBTQ+ bill, attributing the hesitation to concerns over its potential impact on Ghana’s economy.

She reiterated that LGBTQ+ activities were contrary to Ghanaian religious and cultural values.
