Geo Anointing Construction Limited has issued a warning to the Ghana Education Service (GES), threatening legal action if it attempts to forcibly access the Galilea M/A Basic School.
This follows the company’s locking of the facility due to unpaid debts.
On Thursday, November 21, 2024, Geo Anointing Construction Ltd locked the school for the second time, citing the Ga South Assembly’s failure to settle payments owed for the completion of a six-unit classroom block.
The action has disrupted academic activities, drawing criticism from parents and education stakeholders.
Speaking on Eyewitness News, the company’s spokesperson, Emmanuel Addo Okai, emphasised that any attempt by the GES to break into the facility would not be tolerated.
“We want to caution the Ghana Education Service. They broke into the facility, and we pardoned them at the very instance. At this time, if they go back to break the locks and grant access to the students, we will issue legal action against them.
“It is illegal for the GES to let any student occupy this facility we are talking about here, and we are very particular about it. If we find them there, we will treat them as squatters,” he stated.
