The Mayor of Accra, Elizabeth Kwatsoe Sackey, has cautioned that voting against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) could jeopardize progress on critical infrastructure projects under the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).

DRIP is aimed at equipping Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies with modern tools to enhance road networks and improve accessibility nationwide.

Speaking during a visit to project sites within the Accra Metropolitan Area, the Mayor emphasised the importance of continuity in governance to sustain and expand the initiative.

She urged citizens to consider the progress made so far and support the NPP to maintain momentum in developing Ghana’s infrastructure.

“DRIP is a good initiative, every district has it and therefore every district is working at the same time to ensure there is a free flow of vehicles. This is exactly what we are doing. I want to say a very big thank you to the president for this dream.

“We are sure that he will come because God has ordained it placing him first on the ballot. We are looking forward to seeing him continue this good work.

“Usually when there is a change in government, projects are stalled and new administrations claim they do not know much about the project. They then take time to research about it. But this one will be a continuation.

“We need a continuation in governance. When the NPP government is given the nod, these roads will continue”, she stated.
