The Electoral Commission (EC) has destroyed defective ballot papers initially intended for the Ahafo and Volta Regions after identifying issues with their serialization.

During an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting, the EC confirmed that the transfer of these ballots was halted upon discovering the problem.

As a result, the commission engaged Buck Press and Acts Commercials to manage the reprinting process.

The flawed ballot papers were destroyed on Thursday, November 21 under the supervision of police officers and representatives from various political parties.

While the Electoral Commission dismissed claims from political parties regarding the identification of serialization errors, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) maintained that they were the ones who uncovered the issue.
