An aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has asserted that former President John Agyekum Kufuor has an obligation to support his party and advocate for its candidate.
He contends that, as a member of the NPP, it is essential for Mr. Kufuor to engage in campaigning for the party.
This statement comes in response to Kufuor’s endorsement of the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, urging voters to select him to rejuvenate the economy.
In a post on X, on November 18, Felix Kwakye Ofosu remarked that Kufuor’s endorsement does not guarantee a victory for the NPP.
“The consummate Danquah-Busia man that he is, President Kufuor, is duty-bound to defend his party and campaign for its candidate. It doesn’t mean the electorate accepts his narrative.”
He condemned the NPP government, describing it as “utter rubbish,” and urged Ghanaians to remove them from office through voting.
“The NPP has been utter rubbish in government and must be thrown out!.”
