Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to actively participate in the upcoming elections, warning against the dangers of voter apathy.

In an interaction with some selected journalists, the former president emphasised the critical role of every citizen’s vote in shaping the nation’s future.

Kufuor urged citizens to recognise the importance of their voices in the democratic process and to avoid staying on the sidelines due to disillusionment or internal conflicts within their preferred parties.

“When it’s time for election and because of some party rift, people decide not to vote, it’s a challenge. This is because if you don’t vote, others will and they may not vote to support your party’s vision.
“So, I will plead that as much as possible, we should not have the attitude of voter apathy,” he stated.
