The Ghana Police Service (GPS) is on a manhunt for a group of individuals allegedly calling themselves the National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth of Obuasi, seen in a viral video threatening violence in the upcoming 2024 general election.
In a statement issued on Friday, the police said, “We wish to state that the behavior of the group constitutes the offence of offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace, contrary to section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).”
The statement also mentioned that a police operation is currently ongoing to have them arrested to face justice.
