The campaign team of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has said it will not emotionally invest in prophecies seeking to determine the winner of the December polls.

Some pastors in the Ashanti Region, during a recent interaction with the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama, noted that the leader of the former president will win the 2024 polls.

But in an interview with Citi News, Anthony Karbo, a senior aide to Dr. Bawumia, indicated that the team sees such claims as predictions rather than prophecies.

“I call all these things predictions. I don’t see them as prophecies. But the question is, why are prophies so prevalent in Africa and among black people?

“You are elsewhere, and you won’t find anybody talking about prophecies. We saw some predicting that Kamala Harris was going to win the US elections. What happened?”
