The vice-presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has called on Ghanaians to stop voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, accusing them of inflicting pain and hardship on Ghanaians.
Speaking during a courtesy call on the Regent of Wungu, Sulemana Saka Adams in Walewale of the North-East Region, Prof Opoku-Agyemang urged voters to support the NDC’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, in the upcoming December 7 general elections, indicating that a vote for Mahama and the NDC would help “reset” the country for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
“With our predecessors, the late JJ Rawlings and Atta Mills and our own John Dramani Mahama, I doubt any of them would have said that the most important thing to do at this time is to build statues for themselves.
“…I want to appeal that we all come together to vote and bring in a government that is not an angel but an ordinary human being, but we know he will do the best for his people and leave a good legacy,” she stated.
